NEWS: CLOSED: Use another lounge instead

The TAM Airlines VIP Lounge is a small but servicable lounge, with fairly comfortable seating. There are no windows in the lounge, but considering most people visit the lounge in the late evening before most of the longhaul flights, this isn't a problem.

To find the lounge, turn left after the Security check and Passport Control. The lounge is in the International Departures Area, downstairs in the basement.

It is thanks to being in a cellar, that the TAM GIG lounge feels rather clostrophobic. In fact, if the fake slatted windows were real windows, it would be an OK lounge, but alas you do have a feeling of being in depths of the earth. The furniture however helps: there are lovely spotted arm chairs, and harsher red felt upright chairs.

At the far end of the lounge is a rack of four leather recliners, which are pretty comfortable.

Food

Basic food selection with sandwiches, pastries and fruits.

Bar

There is a small self service bar area with beer in cans. There are two bottles on wine in the fridge, and one red on the worktop.

There is a coffee machine, and soft drinks in the fridge.

Bathrooms

There are bathrooms in the lounge, with toilets, and one unizex shower.

Business Facilities

Wifi Internet, some newspapers.
